Review and Resolutions
Last year I wrote an article with a few New Year’s Resolutions. We all know that resolutions are made to be broken. I’m glad to see that I have at least accomplished most of the items. I have indeed gotten back into exercising, later in the year, but better than never - which has caused me to lose a few pounds. I have slowed down on the soft drinks and fries and started drinking a ton of water (thanks to the guys at the office). I eat far less than I used to, but more frequently which helped with the indigestion. I rarely get it anymore. Those big items certainly helped in completing a half marathon which was never on my list of things to accomplish, but I’m thankful I did it. I’m trying to convince my siblings to join me next year, we’ll see if they stick it out.
Other items such as mandolin practice and trading stock took the sidelines. Honorable mentions include buying a more reliable car, remodeling a house, forcing myself to seek another church, traveling to New York City, Phoenix and Las Vegas, and last but not least — landing a great job. 2006 certainly was a step in the right direction in my life after a miserable 2005. I’m looking forward to seeing what 2007 brings. There are a few things I’d like to accomplish in 2007. I would love to pay off a few debts I have, especially my furniture. I am hoping to get some sort of side venture off the ground so I can make some extra money to help pay off those debts as well as to save up for retirement, kids, etc. I may run another half marathon, possibly full, but I doubt it seriously. I would like to keep in shape running again after basketball season ends, once the days get longer. I would eventually like to get in the weightroom if I can find a way to motivate myself to do it. Ok, I think that is enough. Until next year ;-)
