Elevated Boardwalk – Congaree National Park

The other side of the boardwalk loop at Congaree National Park features the Elevated Boardwalk. Much different than the Low Boardwalk, this particular trail is raised 6-10 feet in areas above the forest floor. Along the way you’ll see plenty of hardwood trees and the tallest loblolly pines in the eastern United States. This part of the boardwalk is around .5 miles in length one way and terminates at Weston Lake. As always, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife!
