Edwards: Jesus Would Be ‘Appalled’

“I think that Jesus would be disappointed in our ignoring the plight of those around us who are suffering and our focus on our own selfish short-term needs,” John Edwards told the site. “I think he would be appalled, actually.”

Mr. Edwards is right - maybe he should consider selling his multi-million dollar home and help them out since he’s in the top 1% that he delights in bringing up every time he talks about the Bush tax cuts “for the wealthy”. Maybe his buddy Mr. Gore could help out too by selling his private jet and his Tennessee mansion and throw some money to the poor. No no no, they’d rather have the government enforce it and take money away from those who have worked hard for it and give it to those that won’t work and sit around have babies. I agree there are some that actually need the help, but isn’t that what religious based initiatives are for? I’ve never seen a church turn down help for someone that is in need.

Jesus would be much more appalled at the babies that are slaughtered every day in this country. Maybe someone should tap him on the shoulder and whisper that into his ear.

Wow! Another Republican that needs educating. If I had the energy and time to waste, I would educate you on the research done concerning these “tax cuts for the wealthy” and do a Bush bashing article, but I think I will just rise above and move on.

WOW! Another uneducated republican. If I had the energy and time to waste I would educate you and share the facts about this ‘tax cut for the wealty’ and have a Bush bashing session, but instead I am gonna rise above and do something productive.

I don’t know you at all, but you’re my hero. I’ve been preaching this same thought for years, only to fall on deaf ears. Glad to see that there is at least some logical people in this liberal world we live in.

Wow! Another “uneducated” person that doesn’t know how to post comments on a blog. They wanted to “rise above and move on” so badly that they posted the same comment again, not realizing that their post had to be moderated by yours truly as it clearly states after submitting.

Nonetheless, if you can spell your way through your explanation, I’d be happy to entertain opposing views. Also maybe you should do a little more research to find out the the wealthy pay the most taxes, therefore they should receive the most back. Duh. It’s just another scare tactic by the Dems to get the dumb and helpless to vote for them. Uneducated is how Democrats like their constituents.

Do not have the time to argue the spelling issue…typically do not give much thought to other blog conversations that I participate in. I will try to do better if that is an important issue for you. Here’s my A-Z to cover me. =)

However, is is not true that Republicans have gotten us in the tax mess we are in the last 8 years!!! Look at the trends of Republican Presidents over the years and you see the economy pattern. Our country shows improvement when Democrats are in the seat.

BTW Republicans are typically known for their “redneck” uneducated, non-college attending constituents. Just look around you and see the folks. You yourself may be educated, but majority of your kind are not!

It is actually important to me, especially if you are trying to present an educated opinion. I’m less likely to take someone serious when they can’t spell or can’t form complete sentences.

The tax mess? You think cutting taxes causes a mess? The ONLY reason our economy is thriving is because of the tax cuts. GW Bush doesn’t have the dotcom era to ride his way to economic success like Billy did. As far as Republican presidents, Reagan cut taxes as well, which setup a nice momentum shift for ole Billy Boy. You don’t think taking the DJIA from nearly 8500 to over 12000 is improvement? You don’t think having the unemployment rate at the lowest ever is improvement? You don’t think that this country seeing the lowest interest rates ever is improvement? Let’s face it, if it wasn’t for Iraq, the Dems wouldn’t be in control in Congress.

Oh well I’m glad you clarified the constituency for our party. I’ve always heard it was the rich and the wealthy that kept putting them in office. Thanks for clearing that up.

It looks like we have another lost liberal among us.

Anyways, I don’t recall the DOW reaching 12,000 under any Democratic presidency. Another thing is Bush had to deal with 9/11 and that whole incident with the stock market. I would have to say the tax cuts are working and that’s why our economy is growing.

I’m going to tell you the problem with the Democratic Party. It’s people like Anonymous who say we are uneducated and that’s why our country is in the mess that it’s in. I don’t know about you but I think some of these people are educated to much. It takes common sense to run a country, business and save money. We don’t need some book to tell us how to do it.
