Six Flags Elite Park Pass

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

How much are you willing to pay for your thrills? As you know, standing in hour-long lines, withstanding the heat and dealing grouchy people is enough to keep families from going to amusement parks. Thrill seekers can now pay nearly four times the regular ticket price to be treated as the park’s VIP. You are escorted to the front of the lines when waiting to board a ride. You have your very own concierge to escort you around the park and you get your own private up-close parking space. Whether it’s worth it or not, is a decision you have to make. I just don’t recommend getting on the free fall ride if you value your legs.

Phoenix Sky Harbor Security Concerns

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

So September 11th has become a faded nightmare in most everyone’s minds. The American flags that once stamped everyone’s back bumpers and windshields have disappeared and the FDNY gear has been placed in storage. It’s all a distant memory as we all once again become complacent and wait for history to repeat itself. We advertise loop holes in our own security systems such as the one at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Be sure to read this article before considering flying into Phoenix again. I won’t be surprised when I wake up to see thousands dead one morning.

OBX Half Marathon - Finished.

Sunday, November 12th, 2006

Praise the Lord, both literally and figuratively. My goal was to finish the race and to do it within a 2 hour time span. I finished it in 2 hours, 19 minutes which was pretty decent for a scrub like me. I placed 1102 overall out of 2300 runners which was fine with me. To put things in perspective the number one finisher in the half marathon finished in 1 hour 6 minutes (thanks for the correction CB). How about insane?? Anyway, I won’t let that unrealism for myself damper my sense of accomplishment :) Thanks to Chris, Kelly Mae and Emily for going with me. Thanks for the support guy and gals. Here’s a clip of me finishing:

The Finish Line

Tombstone

Monday, September 18th, 2006

Well Day 3 has finally come and gone. I think we’re all pretty happy with what we were able to see in the short time we were in AZ. Today we woke up and drove to southern Arizona to the small Wild West town of Tombstone. Ever since watching the movie “Tombstone” we’ve all sorta been intrigued by it and we thought since we were out this way, we might as well drive down there. It was about a 3 hour drive and we were just minutes away from Mexico believe it or not. It was pretty cool to see the OK Corral and the Oriental Saloon. It was like I couldn’t really believe we were actually there. This whole trip, like most other trips to places I’ve never been, always seems like a dream. Well I’ve added yet more pics from today’s excursion. I hope you enjoy them. Wish us luck on the way home to RDU in the morning. See y’all soon.
