Chavez Supplies Citgo

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

My new motto is “say no to citgo”. The next time you pull up to the tank and want to help us give Hugo Chavez a black eye, buy something else besides Citgo brand gasoline. Let’s supply and demand his butt right out of power.

First Black President

For starters, I thought that was Bill Clinton? Sorry I’ve been on a political rant lately, but it’s election time and I can’t help but reply to the hooplah that surrounds me every time I tune into cable news or talk radio. So back to Obama - why is it he is automatically considered to be African American and ordained to be America’s “First Black President”? His mother was white, his Dad was black. The media is so focused on the hype of America producing a female or black President that it sometimes typically forgets logic. Maybe I just don’t know how that works? My main complaint is that the media should quit making this a race of sexes/races and focus on picking the right person for the job. No I’m not racist and no I’m not apologizing so don’t give me the comparisons to Don Imus.

Now Romney

I’ve never felt such disappointment after seeing Fred lose in South Carolina. I felt like if he had gotten in earlier and met the drive by media’s demands, then he would have gotten further in the voting process. Unfortunately, he withdrew from the race today. My support will not go to Huckabee nor McCain, though most pundits say that McCain is the only one that can beat Clinton or Obama. They are probably right, because it takes a liberal to beat a liberal. They also said GW Bush wouldn’t be re-elected after the mess in Iraq. I can’t support Rudy because he’s not tough on illegal immigration and border control. I guess that leaves Mitt.

Donate for Fred

From fred08.com: Take a look at the front page and you’ll see the red pickup truck. Fred needs $540,000 for media in South Carolina. You were so generous before when Fred needed money to run ads in Iowa. We need that same kind of support again.

This is a wide open race. In Iowa Fred showed there was a hunger for clear conservative leadership. Republicans want someone who will keep the Reagan coalition together. Fred has the conservative ideas, the leadership, and the experience to do that.

Like he did in Iowa Fred will be traveling South Carolina talking directly to the people telling them the truth. But he’ll need commercials on TV to support him. $540,000 will do that.

We added an additional challenge. We want 50,000 new Friends of Fred. We want more people to be a part of our movement. Now, you have two ways to help Fred: get your friends and neighbors to become Friends of Fred or donate to Fred’s conservative cause.

Spread the word about both our challenges. Send e-mails, talk them up on blogs, and use social networks like Facebook to get the word out. In Iowa Fred knew you would come through for him; he knows you will do it again.

UPDATE: Wow. We’re already over $100,000. That’s an amazing start. Whatever you’re doing keep it up.

If you want to have a little fun at a certain news organization’s expense visit Stick it to Politico.com.

Don’t forget to tell your family and friends about Fred. Get them to sign up on Fred08.com. We want more people in on the fun of supporting a conservative for President. We’re only at 465 new Friends of Fred. Our goal is 50,000. That means we have to work harder. But I know you can do it.
