Phoenix Sky Harbor Security Concerns

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

So September 11th has become a faded nightmare in most everyone’s minds. The American flags that once stamped everyone’s back bumpers and windshields have disappeared and the FDNY gear has been placed in storage. It’s all a distant memory as we all once again become complacent and wait for history to repeat itself. We advertise loop holes in our own security systems such as the one at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Be sure to read this article before considering flying into Phoenix again. I won’t be surprised when I wake up to see thousands dead one morning.

Pioneer Exteriors: Ricky Sawyers

Yet another disappointing contractor, following in the footsteps of Joey West. I really don’t like to drag people or their businesses down. In fact, I’d much rather write something positive about them, however sometimes people have to be held accountable for their lack luster business etiquette. Yes, you read that right - personal accountability. I know it’s a term that isn’t associated with a lot of people these days. Well in the roofing business the same applies.

Joey West, Not Recommended

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

If anyone is interested in hiring someone to install vinyl siding on their home or storage building, do NOT choose Joey West of J West Vinyl. While he does a great job and is skillful at his trade, he could learn a few manners along with a little tact when dealing with the customer. Joey was first contacted around the middle of March and after about 4 months of hounding Joey West with constant call backs and reminders I finally got a vinyl sample booklet so that I could actually pick out the vinyl siding I wanted. Getting siding installed was the last thing I needed to complete before closing on my house, so basically I was waiting on him so I could get others paid off for past work. Delay after delay he finally decided to show up in early July.

Cracking the Window

Tuesday, July 18th, 2006

Let me start by saying I’m not knocking smokers. To each their own, I just do not care to smell it — now on with the story. I was on the way back to work today from lunch when I took notice of a happening that I cannot understand. I saw two or three smokers lit up in their cars smoking away. They were the only ones in the car — no passengers whatsoever. I guess the part I don’t understand is why they crack (roll down) their windows slightly to let the smoke escape? Why not consume not only the 1st hand smoke, but the 2nd hand smoke as well? For some reason they don’t like smelling it after it is exhaled — maybe those that crack their windows should try keeping their windows up when driving alone and think about us non-smokers. We had rather smell dead roadkill than 2nd hand cigarette smoke. Not only that, what would be the difference in having a pass-gas section in a restaurant filled with gaseous guys that partook in eating pork and beans and deviled eggs the night before and having that scent drift over to someone in the non-pass-gas section of the restaurant? It wouldn’t be too pleasant I bet for people that spent their hard earned money to come and eat without choking from an unpleasant smell. So next time you light up, think about smelling something god awful before you are inconsiderate to others around you. Oh and try not to display a double standard when it comes to smoking. If you are going to smoke, then smoke it all. Anyone else feel that way?

Wow, I really got on a rant huh?
