D-Fence Fence Installation

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

If you are wanting a nice quality fence installed for your backyard or on your property lines consider D-Fence. It’s a one-man company based in Fuquay-Varina, NC. I was referred to D-Fence through a Craigslist posting I made in the “Wanted” section. He gave me the cheapest estimate and a very quick turnaround and believe it or not, he actually wanted to work! I don’t mind writing a check for someone who does great work and is punctual. Give him a call: (919) 753-7711

Here is a picture of the fence he built for me: http://flickr.com/photos/jaymeblackmon/1388637137/in/set-1748189/

FBodyMotorsports Incompetence

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

I would like to preface my review with a few comments. I always seem to catch some flack for posting negative business reviews. I’m not too sure why, after all most people do read reviews and want truthful information about a product they are buying or a business they are buying the product from. I could always lie about my experience and paint everything rosy and let everyone get stuck in the same situation. Truthfully, I appreciate honest reviews and I hope you do as well.

With that being said, I purchased some decals and wheel centers for my Firebird back in early June through their website, fbodymotorsports.com. I won’t give them the benefit of me linking to their site, that’s for sure. Anyway, I called their store at the end of June and asked when and if my items were going to be shipped. They said they were behind a month on their orders and it would be a while. I called back mid-July thinking maybe I had given them enough time to fill the order since they seemed to find time to charge my credit card somewhere along the way. The person who answered the phone said they would make a note of it and get back to me the next day. Like so many other stories, the phone call never came. I called them back and demanded them get the man in charge on the phone and figure out what was going on with my order. He checked into it and I was put on hold. He said he found my wheel centers but the decals hadn’t come in yet. I asked him to just credit my card back for the expense of the decals and I’ll take the wheel centers. Finally I got the wheel centers the next week. A month later there was no credit to my card for the decals. I called them back and they said the order had never been placed to begin with and that they would get the decals to me right away. Man oh man, is there such a thing as incompetence times 1 million? If not, I think I have found it.

Six Flags Elite Park Pass

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

How much are you willing to pay for your thrills? As you know, standing in hour-long lines, withstanding the heat and dealing grouchy people is enough to keep families from going to amusement parks. Thrill seekers can now pay nearly four times the regular ticket price to be treated as the park’s VIP. You are escorted to the front of the lines when waiting to board a ride. You have your very own concierge to escort you around the park and you get your own private up-close parking space. Whether it’s worth it or not, is a decision you have to make. I just don’t recommend getting on the free fall ride if you value your legs.

Phoenix Sky Harbor Security Concerns

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

So September 11th has become a faded nightmare in most everyone’s minds. The American flags that once stamped everyone’s back bumpers and windshields have disappeared and the FDNY gear has been placed in storage. It’s all a distant memory as we all once again become complacent and wait for history to repeat itself. We advertise loop holes in our own security systems such as the one at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Be sure to read this article before considering flying into Phoenix again. I won’t be surprised when I wake up to see thousands dead one morning.
