Welp, Sunday was my 29th Birthday. It wasn’t that eventful, but I’ll say I’m happy to have lived yet another year and I have made it through some trying times in the past year and grown as a person. I’m thankful for the doors that God has shut in my life and the windows he has opened when those doors were shut. Everything happens for a reason – I wonder where I’ve heard that? It is so true. When bad things happen in your life it does nothing but make you stronger for future storms of life and if you learned from those events, it will allow you pass those tests with ease. Events that have happened in my life in the past year were so unforeseen. I would have never thought my life would be where it is right now one year ago. I lost two loved ones, grew disappointed in a church where I was raised, resigned from a job, among other things. Knowing things could always be worse, last year was pretty rough. I have learned that bad things happen to good people and good people sometimes do bad things. The greatest thing of all is that I’m covered by grace regardless of those that remain judgmental.
