Back to the Grind

I’m halfway through my third week on the new job. Most of you know I have been working at home since 2000 after being rudely laid off from Sertus Software with about 40 others. My working from the homestead started with OnlineRacin.com and most recently XCENT. It has been a change adapting to different sleep patterns after six years of pretty much sleeping when I want and waking up when I want, but I must say this is probably a good thing–introducing a little regularity into my life, not to mention quite a bit more $. It has been nice having the freedom to head to Wal-Mart or whatever during the middle of the day or go down and work on my car with Dad without having a boss standing over my head, but at least I know what I’m missing now. I believe it will motivate me to practice strategic investing and better money management which will get me back to the freedom I once experienced and still allow me to make money comfortably without the hassle of a fulltime job. Nonetheless, I’m enjoying my new job and I look forward to seeing where this will lead me, both financially and career-wise. Is it time to go to bed already? I just got home!
